Natalia Grigorieva – painter, graphic artist, book designer, teacher. Lives and works in Moscow, Russie. The author of a fundamentally new teaching technique for drawing and painting. Personal site of the artist: http://en.nataliagrigorieva.com/.
The artist works a lot in various art residences around the world. For many years she has been engaged in the task of transmitting the light and color of specific to this place as technically and emotionally as possible.
The theme of ligth and color, which occupied the main place in the work of the French impressionists, also worries this Russian author. True, the peculiarity of her creation is that she is setting herself an impressionistic task and solves it, relying not only on the historical experience of the Russian school of painting, but also on the air-coloristic transmission of nature by the French impressionists, who had a huge impact on the work of Natalia Grigorieva (in in some art articles, her manner is called "Russian Impressionism"), and as well as on the contrast and rigidity of German expressionists, whose works has been keen Natalia on all her life.
Such a mixture of approaches and national cultures in the development of a completely traditional task, namely, the emotional transfer of the state of nature ("... experiencing painting ..."), in the creation of Natalia Grigorieva gives a completely new and very interesting result, both in graphics and in painting.
