On October 4, 2025, a meeting of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Literature (AESAL) was held at the Luxembourg Palace in Paris.
Unfortunately, I fell ill and was unable to attend this meeting. Nevertheless, I am very grateful to the organizers for putting my name second on the list of delegates.
I would like to share with you all the information related to this event.
You may be interested in learning about its projects and prospects, as well as getting to know famous and prominent contemporary personalities.
Thank you for your attention!

The European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters: uniting Europe through culture and knowledge Founded in Paris in 1980 on the initiative of Dr. Nicole Lemaire d'Agaggio, the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters (AESAL) was born out of a visionary idea launched in the Kremlin in 1973: to build a Europe united by science, art, and culture, beyond political borders. Supported by Senate President Alain Poher and praised by UNESCO, the AESAL has since established itself as a symbol of dialogue and peace.
Open to all nations, the Academy now brings together members from 54 countries, including several Nobel Prize winners. Its mission is to promote understanding between peoples through intellectual, artistic, and scientific collaboration, complementing the work of UNESCO.
Its international conferences – from Paris to Geneva, Brussels, and Shanghai– have addressed major themes such as North-South dialogue, global health, and clean energy, often in partnership with institutions such as the WHO. Under the impetus of figures such as Professor Luc Montagnier, the AESAL has fostered important cooperation in biomedical and environmental research.
In 2025, its symposium "What does it mean to be European today?" invites us to rethink the European spirit in the face of contemporary challenges. For its President, Professor Jean-Patrick Connerade, "Europe is built on law, justice, and respect."
True to its founding ideal, AESAL remains a meeting place for science and conscience, reminding us that the future of Europe rests above all on culture, knowledge, and peace.
