We have decided to award you the International Prize Velázquez & Goya, which is presented to artists for their artistic merits.
The award ceremony will take place on October 26, 2024 at Casa Milà – La Pedrera in Barcelona, in the presence of Spanish personalities – collectors, journalists, politicians and patrons of the arts.
This is one of Europe's most prestigious contemporary art prizes, awarded in the heart of Barcelona.
The International Prize Velázquez & Goya is a mark of recognition awarded to all artists who have distinguished themselves over the years through their artistic research and the stylistic value of their works of art.
The prize is open to painters, sculptors, photographers, video artists, performers and digital artists.
IMPORTANT EVENT: MEAM (Barcelona European Museum of Modern Art), located in the heart of central Spain, will host the 5th Barcelona Art Biennial. All the works of art selected for the International Prize Velázquez & Goya will be presented in video on October 27 at the MEAM as part of the 5th Barcelona Art Biennial.

October 26:
- Official award ceremony for theInternational Prize Velázquez & Goya at 3:00 pm in the Casa Milà-La Pedrera hall (Passeig de Gràcia, 92) in Barcelona.
- Cocktail reception at the charming local restaurant El Bosco de les Fades (Passatge de la Banca, 5) in Barcelona (immediately after the awards ceremony).
October 27:
- Video EXPO 1 artwork at the MEAM Museum (Carrer de la Barra de Ferro, 5) in Barcelona.
